Throughout the world, death and the rituals that surround it are steeped in taboos. Death is celebrated, embraced and feared. Around death and the dead, cultures put in place diverse restrictions and practices associated with clothing, food and ritual. 

Here follows a brief look on what you can find on the internet about death.

The website http://www.deathonline.net/ explores what practically happens to us when we die and the different ways cultures deal with death.

The Azrael Project is a web spiritual book similar to the Tibetan or Egyptian book of the Dead.  It is a collection of writings from people teaching others how to transition with dignity and to lessen the fear of "Death."  Azrael is the name of the angel who assists others in their transition from this life to the next. To access this website click here.
