The New Year and the Immaculate Art of Recapitulating the Past (by Franco Santoro)

Once again a New Year is starting. 2010 has reached its date of expiry and  with 2011 everything goes back to square 1. This can either be the repetition of the same monotonous cycle or a shift into a brand new configuration. Perhaps, more realistically, it is a mixture of both.

This initial time of the year is a most delicate stage in the healing process, and a very challenging space to manage. Luminous parts of our being take shape and get ready to be born, yet the gestation of this newness occurs in the darkness, while in the outer environment the dynamics of the past year continue to dominate.

This is a most promising time heralding the beginning of a new journey and the birth of precious hidden treasures. Our multidimensional nature is ready to dispense the most abundant signs of its presence, awakening the memory of our original unity and power. Yet, this intensifies the contrast with the separated self and all the blocks from of our conditioned past. Hence, if such grievances are not properly released, a vortex of confusion and turmoil can follow. The individual involved may then be forced to take resolute measures, which may entail the commitment to explore and heal these areas of darkness, or the option of hiding them away.

Being at such a crucial threshold between past and future, the first days of the New Year are ideal for recapitulation. Recapitulation is an ancient healing practice aimed at retrieving and releasing energy. The assumption is that past events block vital energy until they are finally sorted out and released. When this is not the case the past keeps being held in the emotional body and we lose the connection with whom we truly are. We merely become the condensation of unrefined fragmented memories, which are constantly recycled, reactivated and condensed in the present. As human beings we tend to invest enormous energies in these memories until, just like in a computer, the memory space is used up, and our lives crash, hang or freeze.

Releasing the past may not be an easy task. Many people regularly focus on their memories and justify whatever they do and the way they feel based on their past. They say things such as, “My father abused me”, “My partner left me”, “I lost my child” or “I was fired”, and use them to validate why their life does not work. As they focus on those things they feed those negative past experiences, which then keep being recycled in the present, preventing new experiences to emerge.

Other people take a totally different stance. Being aware of how the past limits their freedom they elect to wipe it out with an instant spring clean. They start a thorough enterprise of deletion of whatever refers to the past, people, places, situations, belongings, etc. The relationship with my girlfriend is over! Ok, let’s burn all her photos, letters, presents, also deleting e-mails, text messages, and so on, until I can say, often by quoting lines from a New Age book, that I have finally cleaned up my past and now I am liberated. And from that moment all will be really different

Well, this is a universe of immense possibilities, and this can truly be the case if I can move radically beyond the syntax of this separated reality. Since the past, as we perceive it is an illusion, deleting it can be as easy as erasing files from a computer. The moment I wake up from the dream, it will be all gone. And yet, unless I have mastered the art of not falling asleep again, the past will eventually seep though, exactly in the same way, and the only difference will be the actors and the settings.

Well, now if you want to take a break from all this, please watch The Immaculate Art of Deleting the Past at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feQYw64-ckU, by  Cut! (filmmakers from Glasgow University).

Releasing the past is not necessarily deleting the past. Far from being erased the past is first of all in vital need of being truly acknowledged and honoured, then healed and, if it truly does not serve, released. Release is not throwing the past in the bin and then relying on the local authority to get rid of it. Release is liberation, allowing the past to flow in the present, undoing fear and supporting luminous elements, so that this can provide blessings for the present and future.

Release is forgiveness, and as A Course in Miracles puts it, “To forgive is merely to remember only the loving thoughts you gave in the past, and those that were given you. All the rest must be forgotten. Forgiveness is a selective remembering, based not on your selection” (ACIM, T354). The problem is not in the past, it is getting stuck there, being frozen in the past. And this happens when we consider only the past, as well as when we deny it.

I can pretend that my ex girl-friend never existed, and remove all the evidence of her presence. This may be temporarily effective if I can’t cope with the situation, yet if there are unresolved issues with that girlfriend they will return in one way or the other until I choose to truly release. And if I don’t release those issues during my life, well, those issues may be carried over in my “next life” or be taken up by the following generations.

I stress these two options because I believe that the major obstacle in releasing the past is not the nature of the past itself but the way we perceive it. I can regard myself as a separated individual having to deal with personal problems throughout my life, and even in past and future lives, or I can acknowledge myself as part of the collective, a planetary larger being, which includes all mankind, past, present and future.

In shamanism there is the notion of "deleting personal history", yet this is not the past, it is the illusory past created by our separated minds. Hence here the deletion applies to the ego involvement with the past and its separated reality. The perception of separation from others and the world is the human arbitrary configuration that needs to be dropped in order to experience our true identity and move into a much wider reality.

And this is not a spring clean; it is an ongoing and enduring process, which gradually allows the emergence of the collective past, a realm where all minds are joined. Here personal thoughts, being separated, do not exist or are mere hallucinations. Shamans, more or less universally, receive most of their guidance from that realm and work intensively with ancestors. They experience past, present and future as a time continuum through which they travel in order to gain knowledge and pursue their shamanic intentions.

For many native traditions all life is based upon this time continuum, with ancestors representing the major reference in cults and social practices. Any type of conflicts developing in the present is acknowledged in relation with the past. And the past is explored as the matrix level, the realm of templates, or archetypes, that can unveil the tools to heal any conflict for the benefit of present and future generations.

May we all be blessed by our luminous past shining into the most joyous present radiating into the ecstatic future, and moving on into the past in an everlasting circle of bliss and love.

Compendium of the Game of the Sacred Cone - Part 3 (by Franco Santoro)

Continued from part two

by Mario Martinez

At first the separation progressed like a peculiar joke. It looked like an exciting distraction aimed at stimulating the course of the Game

It was assumed that after some time the two parts would have joined again and abided by the basic agreements of the Game. Yet, as time went on, it became more and more strenuous to discern if the two sides were really willing to return to the original way of playing.

The conflict intensified and this provoked the employment of astonishing and obdurate game strategies.

A crucial clash occurred when each polarity started to construct two bases of secondary directions in the mid-point between one direction and the other.

18.

As a result the bases of Ahur, Hatar, Hagor and Hallair were settled.

In those locations the Seed of the Sacred Cone was planted and new types of beings were born. They were called Paheka. Their bodies, as different from those of Sadoha, could generate both light and darkness.

The appearance of Paheka was a source of voluminous complacency for the Pioneers of each polarity.

Darkness was a most precious substance for Handorians.

Following the success of the Game of the Sacred Cone, its value had become priceless.

The 12 Paheka were able to produce darkness in almost unrestrained quantities. This rendered them precious for the Pioneers just as diamond caves are for human beings.

Each Paheka would produce different dosages of darkness and light though. Such situations gradually determined a friction among Pioneers. Eventually that brought further separation.

by Jade N. Bengco

The original fleet was divided into 12 Sectors which represented the 12 Paheka and also the starships of the 12 stars of Handor.

Each Sector installed a base around the circumference of the great cone and began to work on its own.

After ages of hostilities and combats, the Sectors further separated themselves.

In the end each of the 144 Pioneers decided to operate autonomously.

This separation into 144 single entities caused a major quandary as the Game, in order to function effectively, required a minimum group of 12 united components.

The Pioneers were forced to find a solution in order to assure the furtherance of the Game

For this purpose they elected to utilise the Paheka. Each of the 144 Pioneers built a base and generated further Paheka. Each Pioneer began to be part of a circle made up of Paheka.

As a result of this development the Game received a substantial impulse of creativity.

The Paheka, however, were not beings of Light, but of both Light and Darkness. As they were born after the process of separation, they were alien to the original thought form of unity.

They would find it easier to work as couples or polarities. They would also tend to produce situations of severe warfare or captivation within their polarities.

by Jade N. Beng

19.

In order to master the Game, each Pioneer had to bring considerable modifications to his space suit and also use high quantities of energies in toiling strategic relationships with each of the Paheka.

As long as the Pioneers managed to keep the command of this convoluted situation, the Game would run well. When this was not the case, stern inconveniences easily resulted.

The cardinal one occurred when the Paheka realised that they could mate between themselves and generate a seed of their own without the assistance of the Pioneers.

From this seed various forms of life were created. The Paheka began to use them to develop a new version of the Game

The Pioneers were gradually deserted by their Paheka and were unable to play the Game properly.

In the meantime the Paheka created bases and expanded their dominion in the Sphere until, after a few ages, they assumed full control.

20.

The Pioneers decided to descend into the lands of the Paheka in the effort to create alliances with their inhabitants. They began to relate with some of them and in particular with a group that we call here Zruddha. These were allured by the luminosity of the Pioneers and began to grant their services.

by Michael Hale
The Pioneers managed to train and employ the Zruddha in the Game. This allowed them to retrieve some of their previous power.

Yet there were major tribulations for the Zruddha had a rather fragile and unstable nature. Their structures, moreover, after a period of time or under certain circumstances, would deteriorate and become absolutely useless. As a consequence the Pioneers had to expend enormous amounts of energy to further train the Zrudhha.

The Paheka, on the other hand, once they came to be aware of the link between Pioneers and Zruddha, hardened the conditions of the latter. This further abated their duration.

The Pioneers tried to devise various strategic operations but they all failed. In the end Pioneers and Paheka reached an agreement. The former agreed to confine themselves to their bases and acknowledged the dominion of Paheka over the vastness of the remaining territory of the Sphere.

The Paheka, as an exchange, would provide the Pioneers with all the darkness they needed for the Game. The Pioneers, although they could only play in their bases, were excited by the unlimited quantities of darkness that they had at their disposal.

21.

Since the origination of their enterprise, the Pioneers’ gestures were followed with much interest in the Handorian State System.

Wide screen highlighted the arenas and notably featured news about the expedition beyond the Last Frontier. Handorians were startled at what was occurring and when they received information regarding the internment of the Pioneers in their bases, well, they really could not take anymore. They decided to call upon the Peak of Light and ask for explanations. Hence the Peak agreed to reveal a most arcane and staggering truth.

by Avi Das
“All this severance that you have witnessed is not a novelty for me. There is a far more abundant portion of the Game of which I could not phrase any word. You would not have managed to comprehend. Now that you have followed the enterprises of the Pioneers, at last you can comprehend. Therefore I can at last release my secret. Hang on to my utterance. Down there, beyond the Peak of Darkness, my beloved sister abides, together with her descent and my devoted brothers. In a most archaic time we started a Game, the pristine edition of the Game of the Sacred Cone. Similarly we ended up separate from each other. Now the calling of our archaic union is bound to prevail. From my sister Rodnah, the Peak of Darkness, a Circle of Pioneers has left. They consist of 12 representatives for each state or Realm of Rodnah (Yawrik, Xellak, Rodut, Raku, Ramnah, Lujtnas, Naairf, Raxah, Yllouv, Tnert, Gmarf, Metrah). In the midpoint of Pahai the Circle of Handor and Rodnah are destined to meet. This has not happened yet for the Pioneers of Rodnah behaved similarly to those of Handor. They first created a base called Ru. In that place they generated the counterparts of pure darkness of the Sadoha (Ma Sadoha). Then they separated themselves and began to manufacture grey counterparts with dark matrix of the Paheka (Mare Paheka), The separation which you have witnessed occurred also in my times. Indeed I was part of the original group of the 144 Pioneers..”

by Mario Martinez

22.

Following this astounding and unparalleled declaration, the Peak resolved to send a thirteenth starship directly from the central star of Handor.

The thirteenth starship, composed of 12 Pioneers, first reached Ur and, with the assistance of the Sadoha, developed a planetary system called Ur Handor.

Then, they descended through the vertical axis, landing at the central point of Pahai. Around that space spread the vast amount of bases fabricated by the Pioneers, Paheka and Graha during myriads of ages.

The thirteenth starship halted in the central point of Pahai waiting to establish contact with the thirteenth starship of the Pioneers coming from Rodnah. After a substantial amount of time the meeting took place. [...]

The modalities of this event are for the time being unmentionable.

In the end, the two sides arranged their starships in parallel, one above the other, composing the first structure of the base called Pahai.

From that site the thirteenth Pioneers of Handor were solicited to descend along the vertical axis to reach Ru Rodnah, the vertical planetary base of Rodnah.

At the same time the Pioneers of Rodnah ascended to Ur Handor, the vertical planetary base of Handor.

After depositing the 144 seals of the original Pioneers of each side, the thirteenth Pioneers returned altogether to Pahai [...]

It is not possible to divulge the procedures of the settling of the seals even with a metaphor. [...]

Then the Pioneers of each side started the research of the original Pioneers. For this purpose they began to fabricate the base of Pahai and to cover its surface through the use of connecting entities called Bhi Jinah [...]

by Rudolf Herczo
The creation of Pahai and the retrieval of the original Pioneers is still in progress.

Each of the components of the thirteenth starships has to retrieve and conduct to Pahai the 12 Pioneers of each of the 12 original starships.

Once the original Pioneers have been retrieved, the Handorian starships will continue up to Ru, expanding in that direction the structure of Pahai. Similarly the starships of Rodnah will proceed towards Ur.

Handor and Rodnah’s starships are aimed at widening Pahai within the whole area of the Grey Sphere until they reach Rodnah and Handor respectively. This enterprise manifests through the Pahai Etnaire and the germination of Bhi Jinah. [...]

So as to prevent this attainment the Paheka with matrix of light (Hare Paheka) copulated with those of matrix of darkness (Mare Paheka) and generated a huge web of block in the horizontal axis aimed at obstructing the work of the Pioneers. This web, called Paheka Rubhe, consists of the 144 binary relationships between Hare Paheka and Mare Paheka.

by Mario Martinez

These relationships gave birth to 144 beings called Graha who, as time went on, multiplied themselves and generated all the varieties of Graha who exist in the Grey Sphere. The presence of this web determined a situation of block and stagnation in the whole area of Pahai.

The original Pioneers have to complete the Game as agreed. In order to do that they have to release the Graha, the Paheka web and the Paheka themselves. This is possible only if they manage to find their original unity. This is attainable only if they succeed to reach Rodnah together, move through Ru, and vice versa. This is possible for indeed there are no other possibilities. [...]

Compendium of the Game of the Sacred Cone - Part 2 (by Franco Santoro)

Continued from Part One

11.

The Champions unanimously accepted that they would depart and for such purpose initiated a long training in the star of Kallex by the homonymous Rock (i.e. the celebrated black Rock of Kallex).

After many laborious and unwearied preparations and instructions, they were finally primed to leave Handor and move beyond the Last Frontier.

They were called the Pioneers of the Sacred Cone as on the day of their departure the Peak addressed them as such.

They consisted of the 12 best players of each of the 12 Handorian Stars (Kirway, Kallex, Tudor, Ukar, Hanmar, Santjul, Friaan, Haxar, Vuolly, Trent, Framg, Hartem), making a total of 144 Pioneers.

The Peak said unto them: “Beloved Pioneers, are you aware that it is your choice to play this game? That it is you who make the decision?”.

“Of course!” chanted the Pioneers “What else could it be?”

At which the Peak added: “Are you aware that you are united?”

According to Handorian standard awareness, this question did not make any sense as the idea of separation was totally out of place in Handor. Nevertheless the Pioneers had received a training about separation and, although they still could not make up their mind about it, they had some vague theoretical idea regarding what the Peak had asked and therefore replied yes.

“Whatever happens” said the Peak “remember it is part of the Game. Always bear in mind the Basic Agreements of the Game. You are to reach the Peak of Darkness, sow the seeds of light of the Sacred Cone, fill the latter with darkness, and then return all together to Handor”.

12.

The Pioneers departed with a fleet of 12 starships, one for each of the 12 stars of Handor. The starships vigilantly descended into the abyss of the spiral leading beyond the Last Frontier.

They soon found themselves in an incredibly void and lifeless area. The impact with such a dimension inspired chants and dances never performed before. After travelling for a long time, the Pioneers lost their bearings and the connection with Handor.

This situation was part of the procedures of the Game and a very much expected development. Nevertheless it created considerable excitement and stupefaction.

The Pioneers concluded that they were at the point half-way between Handor and the Peak of Darkness. According to the briefing received during the training, in that place, major key events for the Game would occur.

The Shuttle Operators by Avi Das
After many songs and dances of deliberation, the Pioneers elected to halt and build a base to be used as provisional point of reference until communication with Handor were re-established.

During the lengthy works of construction of the base, space suits were worn for the first time. For the Pioneers it was rather unusual to sing and dance in those space suits.

After a series of some rather awkward rhythms, the Pioneers managed to adjust to the space suits and create astonishing and fascinating melodies.

They were called Ur, a term which was subsequently adopted as the denomination for the base.

Once the works were concluded, the Pioneers planted some seeds of light from the Sacred Cone to render the base visible after their departure. For this purpose a specific glasshouse was fabricated. Out of those seeds astounding beings of light were born.

13.

They were called Sadoha

by Elihu Vedder
The birth of Sadoha was a major cause of delight for all Pioneers. The bodies of those beings abounded in white light and ecstatic vibrations.

After an extended period of training, the Sadoha were able to run Ur on their own. This allowed the Pioneers to set off again on their voyage toward the Peak of Darkness.

Thanks to the light produced by Sadoha on Ur, the descent of the Handorian starships was reassuring. Although, as the Pioneers moved downward, the lights of Ur became weaker and weaker, their presence bestowed a sense of profound placidity and protection. Whenever they turned their awareness upward, the Pioneers could give ear to the ecstatic frequencies of the hymns of Sadoha and raise the energy required to face the murky zones of their voyage.

After a slow navigation, the Pioneers approached an area of tremendous darkness. The obscurity was so condensed that the puissant headlights of the starships would not manage to produce any visibility.

At first the Pioneers believed they had arrived at the Peak of Darkness. However, after a careful examination, they realised that they were indeed just drawing near to the point half-way between Handor and the Peak of Darkness.

The major key events, mentioned so tenaciously during the training, were not only related to Ur, as it was conjectured. Most of them had still to occur. Something else was supposed to happen and the Pioneers did not have any clue.

The lights of Ur were now faint far away in the sky. They resembled a few stitch-marks on a black cloth and to spot them required a substantial degree of attention.

The Handorian starships connected with the Sadoha in Ur to check whether communication with Handor had been re-established. This was not the case though, and the Pioneers had to rely on Ur for hints on how to face the next development.

14.

The Sadoha suggested creating 4 additional bases around the area of darkness.

The Pioneers decided to organise themselves into 4 fleets or elements, made up of 3 starships each, and to move horizontally instead of vertically, as they had done so far.

Each element set off on a journey aimed at reaching the extreme point of the direction, whose distance was determined in co-operation with Ur.

Upon reaching their point, the Pioneers built a base and planted some seeds of light from the Sacred Cone. They also employed the space-suits and, to their amazement, realised that the rhythms of the songs and dances had noticeably changed.

The fabric and the working of the space-suit too had modified consistently.

The 4 bases had noticeable specific characteristics and expressed the specific qualities of the space-suit of their element. They were called Ruha, Ratah, Rogah, Riallah

Out of the seeds a new variety of Sadoha was generated.

The bodies of those beings emitted a different light according to each base. Ruha was red, Ratah green, Rogah blue, and Riallah yellow.

Also these Sadoha were trained until they were able to run the bases on their own.

Finally, the four elements returned to the original point of darkness from which they had departed. After long time, they were most festive to meet and come together again.

From that central point, which was called Pahai, they greatly rejoiced at their major achievements and triumphed in seeing the obscurity enlightened by the bright colours of the 4 directional bases, as well as by the dim white lights of Ur.

by Tossi Jade
The Pioneers were delighted at the sight of all that. It was the basic configuration of a majestic cone with the apex in Ur, the directional points of the circle or horizontal axis in Ruha, Rata, Rogah, Riallah, and the centre in Pahai.

Each element related such awe-inspiring stories as regards the directional bases, the beings that populated them and their melodies.

15.

The Pioneers were stupefied by that and resolved to have a circular navigation around the horizontal axis to visit the 4 bases.

The expedition around the horizontal axis and the visitation to the 4 directional bases was a most amazing enterprise which required a long cycle of time to be accomplished.

Many songs and dances of a diverse quality were composed. Finally, the Pioneers reverted to the central point of Pahai. There they reconnected with the light of Ur and paused in order to decide upon further developments.

During this time, the Pioneers commenced the witnessing of a series of eerie contretemps. According to the original instructions, such circumstances were part of the Game. The Pioneers understood that weird and crucial things would occur once they arrived in Pahai. However, what happened was indeed extremely outlandish and beyond any expectation.

The construction of the directional bases had required an increased and constant use of space suits. This resulted in a mounting interest in their functioning, maintenance and creative potentials. As a result some Pioneers experienced moments of malfunction of memory that caused them to forget crucial details about Handor and the Game. They would also utilise their space suit in communication and create new linguistic forms of expression. The most predominant of them consisted of talking and formulating points of view, opinions which gradually developed into judgements and critiques. Another aspect of these forms of communication is that they began to diverge consistently according to the elements involved.

16.

The Pioneers started to get some comprehension about the word separation

Among them two sides holding different views emerged.

One part maintained that action was needed and light had to be sent so as to reach the Peak of Darkness, whereas the other part insisted on not taking any action and to hold the light in order to draw the Peak of Darkness.

The contrast between these two sides came to be so acute that they decided to separate and to play the Game on their own.

They organised themselves in two polarities made up of 6 starships and 72 Pioneers each.

This crack required a radical change in the structure and functioning of the starships and space suits.

Compendium of the Game of the Sacred Cone - Part 1 (by Franco Santoro)

1.

Our unspoiled pristine recollections stem from a state of such an ecstasy and serenity, whose delight no human words will ever manage to express.

Yet an idiom is to be applied herewith to enunciate what is beyond all manageable languages.

And so we proceed, conscious of the despondent nature of our venture, with the unfolding of those events which generated the perception of this universe of space and time where we, on an endless search, appear to take the helm.

2.

In the Sphere of Light, in that spotless and splendid site that dwells beyond what is beyond, there is an environment which we punctually attempt to portray as a constellation and whose name is:

HANDOR.

This proscribed site and their inhabitants have a most atypical feature.

They are fond of games and spend their life playing, dancing, chanting and celebrating all categories of affairs.

Their idiom incorporates silences, songs, laughter, dance, stillness, and other expressions which cannot obviously be translated into any human tongue.

3.

Besides that, there is another prominent idiosyncrasy which is distinctive of Handor.

It is the Last Frontier of the Sphere of Light.

What does the Last Frontier signify? Well, that is an elongated chronicle and, although it is an inconceivable and, alas, forlorn enterprise, we will endeavour to explain it in human terms.

Once, there on Handor, something absurd transpired.

The Sphere of Light attained its Peak. It necessitated an interminable time to reach that Peak. For uncountable cycles of ages, the collective consciousness of Handor had exchanged light with the Centre of the Sphere. Then, the Peak was achieved and Handor could shine as an emanation of Light itself.

Coruscant by Ralph McQuarrie
The fact of having grown up to the maximum possible luminosity was an imposing accomplishment for the Sphere of Light.

This brought such joy for the Handorians and a constant climax of ecstasy and luminosity which was so.....

Well, we give up any attempt to describe that! It is really too much and we risk blowing up our human circuits even if we only try to convey it in mere words.

After some time, together with this sense of inexpressible ecstasy, the Handorian commenced to experience something unforeseen.

The Peak had elected to continue peaking.

Its Light needed to locate another direction to wend his way. Handor could not contain it anymore.

4.

But where could it proceed if Handor was the Last Frontier?

This was the prevailing dilemma.

The most noticeable response at this stage seemed to be that of stretching beyond the Frontier. But for the Handorians that answer was not at all translucent.

Nobody had ever ruminated of moving beyond the Last Frontier. And that was actually the reason why it was named the Last Frontier.

To the further side of that, there was nothing at all and one could not even conceive the idea of proceeding beyond.

“How can you journey to a place where nothing exists? How can you frolic in darkness? Why on Handor should we move further? What’s the point?” crooned most Handorians.

On the one hand this sounded very logical, while on the other there were grounds to hold a dissimilar point of view.

5.

“That’s the challenge of a novel game!” warbled a conglomerate of Handorians.

“We hold Light, while there, beyond the Frontier, there is only Darkness. Now, as a centre of Light, we do need to come to terms with that Darkness.”

For most Handorians these views did not make any sense. However this did not prevent them from spreading throughout Handor.

After a short time the issue of Darkness provided the idea for the unravelling of a ground-breaking game. The theme was so spellbinding and controversial that this Game gradually became extremely popular.

In two shakes of a lamb's tail it disseminated in the whole constellation.

6.

It was called the Game of the Sacred Cone.

As time went on the Game elaborated different variations.

Appropriate arenas were erected to play it. There, thanks to a machination titled Sacred Cone, it was feasible to captivate and emit darkness.

At a certain stage of the Game, often just for a few instants, the whole perimeter of the arena would sink into an unmitigated condition of obscurity.

That was truly an unprecedented occurrence for the Handorians.

In those incomparable circumstances they would convene in earnest immobility, amazement and taciturnity. Then, when the darkness was over, the Handorian could chortle at the weirdness of such an experience.

7.

Darkness was extremely insufficient on Handor and in all the Sphere of Light in general. In order to reproduce it, the mammoth conic reservoirs based in the directional stations of the constellation were employed.

Before the introduction of the Game, most Handorians did not comprehend anything about those reservoirs or did not even know they existed. Nobody had ever been interested in darkness except for a minuscule bundle of eccentric researchers.

The success of the Game caused a reckless increase of solicitation for darkness. Soon the reservoirs risked running out of darkness.

After some time the quantity of darkness was so pigmy that the Handorians were faced with a crucial decision: either to suspend the Game or consider the idea of moving where darkness was supposed to be abundant, i.e. beyond the Last Frontier.

by Jean Pattou
This latter option was still regarded as cretin and devoid of any sense. Rather than implementing it, most Handorians were ready to let go of the Game of the Sacred Cone and either return to their traditional games or devise something else. Yet a minority were extremely devoted to the Sacred Cone and would do whatever in order to preserve the Game.

In their songs they invited immediate action as darkness was running short and this risked extinguishing their beloved Game

8.

Then the Peak himself emerged in the Central Stadium of Hartem (the most resplendent of the 12 major stars of Handor) and chanted a hymn which sounded more or less like:

“Oh beloved ones, you have been training yourselves for aeons, and you already have your Circle of Champions in this Game. Now it’s time to direct an elected team beyond the Last Frontier to play with real Darkness. Your cones are vacant and if you intend to persist in the Game, you are to take a decision”.

The Circle of Champions, who consisted of the major representatives of the Handorian Stars, were rather tumultuous at the news. “And about time to!” they trolled. “That’s what we have been anticipating for ages!”.

9.

The Peak was jocund at this attitude, but had to warn the Champions to be cautious about their choices: “It’s not going to be that smooth there. The Game is going to be different once you are in the Darkness. You won’t be able to turn on the Light as you do in the arenas. Once you are beyond the Frontier everything is going to be very serious and you are likely to overlook that you are in the Game and you could even cease your songs and dances. Besides you would need a space suit whose way of functioning causes a lot to ponder on”.

Of all the songs the Peak had ever sung this was really the most incomprehensible.

Serious? What does it signify? How is it possible to lose sight of the Game? How is it possible not to sing or dance?” chorused the Handorians.

Now one should comprehend that Handorians did not have the word serious in their vocabulary. That word was really beyond their minds, as was also the fact of seeing life in a way different from games, songs and dances.

The Peak had not finished though. There was a profound silence, as it was clear to everyone that the Peak was about to vocalise another major song.

Then the Peak said:

“When you go beyond the Last Frontier, after a while you forget about the place where you come from and begin to feel as if you have been abandoned. You get angry with your original planet and as a form of vengeance you create a separate reality. Then you feel guilty about it and in order to escape from that guilt you create further separation and vengeance until the pain and the boredom is so unbearable that you sink into the Peak of the Sphere of Darkness. There you realise that you cannot move any further and you get so fed up that you are forced to recover your memory and original Intent. At that point you begin to undo all the reality you have been creating since the origination of the Game until you come back to Handor”.

All this was sheer gibberish for the Handorians. It was filled with words (see italics) which were a total mystery for them. Moreover, and that was really too much, that time the Peak did not sing nor dance.

He said those words and this had never occurred before.

10.

Handorians were full of amazement. They did not comprehend what the Peak meant, but were at once aware that there was something mysterious about life which the Peak knew and they didn’t. This created a lot of excitement among the Circle of Champions.

“We have never played anything like that. That’s really a totally different game. We are going to bring Light to the Darkness! We are looking forward to going beyond the Last Frontier. Here we are, in readiness to go!” they sang.

The Champions unanimously accepted that they would depart and for such purpose initiated a long training in the star of Kallex by the homonymous Rock (i.e. the celebrated black Rock of Kallex).

In Search of Nativity (by Franco Santoro)

The days of Capricorn, including Christmas, have always been significant times because they marked the entrance into our separated world of a solar deity, a luminous being completely at one with God and a perfect manifestation of our true multidimensional nature on earth.

Jesus, like other such luminous beings, was either a historical person, a myth or both yet the Christ I refer to here is an eternal multidimensional condition, the representation of our true nature.

The ego, our separated self, hides our true nature and throughout ages on this planet seekers have tried to transcend this split identity, which is the cause of all pain and evil. The ego in itself is not evil, when it defines the boundaries of the ordinary identity we need in order to cope with everyday reality. Yet the ego is a major calamity when it imprisons us in a separated self, devoid of any connection with others and with the infinity of our being.

The best way of transcending the ego is through the path of forgiveness, which is a path of true Love, a way of uncovering our connection with God and with who we truly are.

Every human being has the capacity to experience true Love and the presence of God. For many people the term God has lost interest and is even regarded with repulsion and resistance. Among certain groups of people, including also spiritual folks, it is sometimes quite awkward to mention God, since it can easily give a wrong impression and cause prejudices. This is because some concepts of God are largely derived from scriptures and rules that provide a false image of God, one that triggers fear, guilt and judgment.

This is the god created by the ego, a bogus idol aimed at maintaining our separated world. Yet there is another God, the true God, who is the object of our search. When fear, guilt and judgment are at work the ego is in command and there is no trace of the real God. This God is unconditional Love and is experienced deep in our hearts, in the inner landscape of our being.

It does not matter what name we use for God. God takes many forms and names, and Christ, Holy Spirit and Jesus are only specific terms among thousands. What counts is obviously the experience of God, rather than the form we employ to address God.

What most people on the path seek today are not spiritual formalities, doctrines, gurus or creeds, but paths of direct experience. We seek a direct communion with God, a direct experience of Love and the truth regarding who we are.

Forgiveness is the way to release the separated self, which blocks this experience, and unveil the reality of true Love, who is God Himself. It is a path that involves the systematic resolution of conflicts and dualities, a road that firmly paves the way towards unity and release from all the misery of the separated world.

These days of celebrations are powerful because they can allow us to bring into the present the birth of the Christ and of all luminous beings that have lived on this earth. During this time, as we commemorate the Nativity, we also celebrate the birth of the Christ in us. Jesus is reborn in us when we turn within and unveil our inner source of true Love. Each time we stop and look within, inviting the presence of God, of genuine Love, the Christ is reborn in us and the way of forgiveness resolutely unfolds.

What does it actually mean to have Jesus reborn in us? What does it practically mean to move along the way of forgiveness? At times these terms sound like abstractions or void concepts, susceptible to misunderstanding and confusion, especially when we are caught by dramatic and painful issues in everyday life. Having the Christ reborn in us means giving him permission to lead us out of the misery and pain of separated life.

This is what forgiveness is about. It is the ongoing practice of identifying ourselves and all there is with only the loving and the lovable, actively expressing it, while letting go of whatever is alien to it.

“To forgive is merely to remember only the loving thoughts you gave in the past, and those that were given you. All the rest must be forgotten. Forgiveness is a selective remembering, based not on your selection.” (ACIM, T 354)

Jesus is reborn in us, and forgiveness unfolds, when we look within for God, when we remember who we truly are, when we let go of our illusory identity and open up to the luminous mystery within. It is reborn when we choose to see the face of Christ in all our brothers and sisters, including ourselves.

Here forgiveness is the practice of sending the Good Eye, which is the antonym of the Evil Eye, and involves looking at others through the loving eyes of innocence, without seeing grievances and misery. And in this way we all glow and shine in full beauty, not because something physical has happened, but merely because we can see without the projections of guilt and pain that we had once cast there.

“This brother who stands beside you still seems to be a stranger. You do not know him, and your interpretation of him is very fearful. And you attack him still, to keep what seems to be yourself unharmed. Yet in his hands is your salvation. You see his madness, which you hate because you share it. And all the pity and forgiveness that would heal it gives way to fear. Brothers, you need forgiveness of each other for you will share in madness or in Heaven together. And you and he will raise your eyes in faith together, or not at all.” (ACIM, T-19.IV.D.12).

Practising forgiveness entails scanning our mind and heart, looking for areas of grievances and pain, and offering them as a gift to God. With Capricorn we have the apex of obscurity, separation and density, yet this maximum expression of darkness is followed by the triumph of light. This is the time of the year marking the peak of darkness, when obscurity comes as a gift in order to be blessed by the emerging light.

“The sign of Christmas is a star, a light in darkness. See it not outside yourself, but shining in the Heaven within, and accept it as the sign the time of Christ has come. He comes demanding nothing. No sacrifice of any kind, of anyone, is asked by Him. In His Presence the whole idea of sacrifice loses all meaning. For He is Host to God. And you need but invite Him in Who is there already, by recognising that His Host is One, and no thought alien to His Oneness can abide with Him there.” (ACIM, T15, XI.3)

Forgiveness implies expressing the firm choice of allowing pain and misery to be released. We realise that we do not intend to hold onto our grievances anymore. We become aware that it does not serve us to keep our grievances so as to demonstrate how unfortunate we are, how awfully someone has hurt us, how desperate our life is.

“This Christmas give the Holy Spirit everything that would hurt you. Let yourself be healed completely that you may join with Him in healing, and let us celebrate our release together by releasing everyone with us. Leave nothing behind, for release is total, and when you have accepted it with me you will give it with me. All pain and sacrifice and littleness will disappear in our relationship, which is as innocent as our relationship with our Father, and as powerful. Pain will be brought to us and disappear in our presence, and without pain there can be no sacrifice. And without sacrifice there love must be.” (ACIM, T15, XI.3)

The essence of the Winter Solstice and Christmas is Love. Spirit is manifested in the separated world through the birth of a luminous human being. Each year during this time the Christ energy slides into the Earth, pervading our world with the seed of unity and the calling to merge with God. Jesus is an example of such embodiment, yet so are we!

We can all become the manifestation of God, the vehicles of Love in this world. Yet, this is not a solitary enterprise. God and Love are unity, and their manifestation is only feasible when we join together, acknowledging the same Love within each one of us. We cannot see God with our physical eyes, yet we can see our brothers and sisters as they truly are. By unveiling the light and love in them, God will be embodied in them and we will uncover who they truly are. As we see the light in our friends, we learn to acknowledge God expressing through them, and in this way we also learn to become aware of how God operates in us.

As you come closer to a brother you approach me, and as you withdraw from him I become distant to you. Salvation is a collaborative venture. It cannot be undertaken successfully by those who disengage themselves from the Sonship, because they are disengaging themselves from me. God will come to you only as you will give Him to your brothers. Learn first of them and you will be ready to hear God. That is because the function of Love is one.” (ACIM, T4.VI:7).

Forgiveness is the art of learning to perceive all our relationships as a proof of our holiness, rather than as sources of grievances. It is about letting go of the garbage we have projected on our brothers and sisters, which is the same garbage we have projected on ourselves. It is allowing the starry sky to pierce the obscurity of the winter firmament, shedding blessings on whatever surround us, within and without.

The entire zodiac can be explored from the perspective of forgiveness, using the 12 different signs as representations of all aspects of life, all the others within and without, letting go of their grievances and supporting their return to the original light they all belong to. And in this way the Christ is born again in us, for it is reborn in everyone and everything. As we enter this holiday season, let’s allow every Christmas tree, every decoration we see in the streets, every time we send or receive a Christmas card, every moment we wish Happy Christmas to someone or receive their holy wishes, to be a confirmation that the Christ has come within us and through us to everyone and all there is.

“Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus. That you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore receive you one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.” (New Testament, Romans 15:5-7)
